Who we are
FollowMyRun is made by no tmrw consult ApS. This policy covers the FollowMyRun app, followmyrun.app, and the purchase flow that connects them. Questions or requests about your data go to hello@followmyrun.app.
What we collect
An Account (email and password, only for Runners who buy or sign up) and a profile (your display name, so the people you invite can recognise you). If you buy a race pass, your purchase and the email Stripe collected at checkout. While you run or follow someone, the live location your device sends us for the duration of that run, plus the connections between runners and the people following them (Follow edges, Invite links, pinned spectator spots). Spectators never need an Account — a name is enough.
Who processes it for us
We never sell your data. It leaves our systems only for:
- Firebase Auth (Google) — stores your Account's email and password hash, and signs you in.
- Stripe — processes your payment as the merchant of record; we never see or store your card details.
- Brevo (EU, Paris) — sends the transactional emails we write ourselves: your purchase receipt link, password resets, and email verification. Your email address passes through Brevo to deliver these.
- ElevenLabs — synthesises the spoken cues a Runner hears about their followers; a follower's display name is sent to ElevenLabs to generate that audio.
- Sentry — collects error and diagnostic reports so we can fix bugs; these age out on Sentry's own retention and are not linked back to a deleted account.
How long Brevo keeps email logs
Brevo documents that it keeps the transactional logs behind your emails (who we sent to, when, and whether it was delivered) indefinitely by default — retention only shortens if we deliberately configure a custom period (1 to 24 months), and a platform-wide 24-month cap applies automatically once an account's total email volume passes 10 million events. We have not set up a custom period, so Brevo's default is what currently applies. Write to hello@followmyrun.app if you'd like your email logs checked or removed sooner and we will act on that in Brevo directly.
Deleting your account
Delete Account, in the app's Settings, is permanent and cannot be undone. It removes your login, your profile, any upcoming race entries, your follow connections in both directions, your invite link, spots you've placed, your live location history, and any diagnostic logs you've uploaded. Unused race credits or an active All You Can Eat pass are forfeited — deletion does not refund them.
Two records survive on purpose, stripped of anything that identifies you: a race you already ran keeps its row in that race's history (so results stay accurate), and a purchase you made keeps its row (with your name and email removed) so we can still resolve a refund or a card dispute — it can never again be used to sign in or claim a pass. Every other deletion, including your entire live-location history, is permanent and immediate.
A spectator's guest identity gets the same button and the same outcome, minus the purchase step it never had. If you only ever bought a pass on the website and never installed the app, write to hello@followmyrun.app and we'll delete your account by hand.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or erase your data, or to export it, by writing to hello@followmyrun.app. For most requests, deleting your account yourself in the app is the fastest path. If you're in the EU, you can also complain to your national data protection authority — in Denmark, that's Datatilsynet.
